Welding Technology

  1. Work independently and in teams to build, assemble and repair metal projects.

  2. Use advanced welding techniques and fabrication equipment to join, cut, bend and manipulate metal for industrial or artistic application.

  3. Utilize various welding processes to earn essential industry recognized certifications.

In this program, students will receive training in blueprint reading, metal fabrication and layout. They will gain experience in identifying and joining a wide range of metals and develop the special skills necessary for success in the trade. In addition, students will have the opportunity to learn these welding processes and skills: oxyacetylene welding and cutting, shielded metal arc, pipe welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and the attainment of the state pipe certification.
