Bullying Reporting Form

This form is intended for reporting incidents of a pattern of bullying, harassment, or intimidation at High Plains Technology Center. Your report will be kept confidential to the extent possible, and appropriate action will be taken in response to your report. Our goal is to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.

DEFINITION: In Oklahoma, the definition of bullying is specified in state statutes, particularly under the “School Safety and Bullying Prevention Act.” According to Oklahoma law, bullying is defined as:

Any pattern of harassment, intimidation, threatening behavior, physical acts, verbal or electronic communication directed toward a student or group of students that results in or is reasonably perceived as being intended to cause negative educational or physical outcomes, and is disruptive to the education process.

Types of Bullying: The law recognizes that bullying can take various forms, including, but not limited to:

Verbal Bullying: Involves spoken words, insults, or threats.
Physical Bullying: Involves physical aggression, such as hitting, kicking, or pushing.
Social Bullying: Involves actions intended to harm someone’s reputation or relationships, such as spreading rumors or excluding someone from a group.
Cyberbullying: Involves the use of technology, such as social media, text messages, or websites, to harass, threaten, or embarrass others.
