Practical Nursing Instructor

Instructor position for HPTC Practical Nursing Program.  Instructor will be responsible for training using current instructional technology to develop, organize, coordinate and deliver a program of practical and technical instruction involving theoretical and clinical aspects of HPTC’s practical nursing program.  Must have the ability to engage adult students and effectively communicate, both verbal and written. To be considered for the position applicant must meet qualifications of the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education including but not limited to a current, unencumbered license as an RN in the State of Oklahoma.  Associate’s Degree required and willingness to continue toward a baccalaureate degree in nursing.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Minimum of 2 years full time equivalent practice as RN in clinical setting within past five years or be presently employed as an instructor in a certified nursing program. Available to work designated work schedule, extended hours as required by position responsibilities and must be able to attend and participate in meetings / conferences as scheduled within the school district or travel to state and/or national conferences.

High Plains Technology Center is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to teach short term adult education classes in the following areas:  Trades, Special Interest, Health, Computer, and Business. If you have experience and expertise and have the ability to train others in any one of these fields, please call Tammy Kelln at (580) 571-6159.

  • Substitute Daytime Instructors

If you are interested in becoming a substitute instructor for our daytime career programs, please call Shannon Carrico at (580) 571-6127. No certification is required. Pay is on a daily rate.
