Keeping Students & Parents Informed
High Plains Technology Center (HPTC) has an attendance policy outlined in the student handbook. You may access it using this link: 2017 - 2018 HPTC Student Handbook.
At the end of each school day, HPTC sends a report to each sending school with that day's attendance records. Sending school's will process the attendance based on their procedures.
After 3 absences parents will receive written notification of the absences. Written notification will also be given at 5 and 10 absences, as these are considered excessive.
Students are allowed 10 unexcused absences each semester. Over 10 unexcused absences will result in a student receiving a grade of incomplete for their program. For more information or for appeal information, please refer to the Student Handbook.
