Career Counseling
Amber Riley, HPTC Counselor is available to assist all daytime students in their pursuit of a certificate. The primary objective of the counselor is to ensure that all High Plains Technology Center students have the opportunity to be successful in the career program they select. Each student receives an extensive evaluation and assistance designed to aid in program selection and to ensure academic success.

College Connection
In a cooperative effort between the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, college credit can now be earned for certain High Plains Technology Center Courses for students attending classes and enrolled in the cooperative alliances. Through these alliances, all HPTC students (high school and adult) who meet the technical admissions requirements are eligible to receive dual college credit as they complete their program's courses. StartYourRecovery.org is a tool that can help students take steps toward a more healthy relationship with drugs and alcohol. SYR helps individuals learn about addiction, recognize signs of a problem, and find local support and treatment.
