High Plains Technology Center to host Veterans Conference for NWOK.

“High Plains Technology Center is proud to announce the return of the NWOK Veterans Community Engagement Day on Tuesday, 30 January 2024.

The event is specifically designed to bring resources to Veterans in Northwest Oklahoma. Whether you need to file a service-connected claim, check its status, enroll in VA healthcare, initial issuance, or renewal of VA ID card, this come-and-go event is for you. Join us from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Delores Jones Seminar Center and surrounding hallway, located at 3921 34th Street in Woodward, OK.

Wind Tech Instructor and Navy Veteran Jack Day recognized the significant need for increased assistance to NWOK veterans. A few years ago, he took the initiative to organize an event and explained, "This event is open to all military branches, regardless of whether you served for one day or twenty to thirty years. There are many benefits that you may be eligible for, so come and meet with other veterans and representatives to explore your options. Although many applications are moving online, this event provides veterans with the chance to speak with someone in person and explain their situation. We've even set up private rooms for this purpose," Day stated.

Special guests from the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System Muskogee Regional Office, and the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs

There will be hamburgers and hotdogs provided.

If you would like more information you can contact Jack Day at 580.571.6124 or Katrina Yocum, Congressional Liaison at 405.456.5605.
